Travel Guide To Chaiya.

As part of the service at Pradit Homestay, we offer train and bus station pick up free of charge. Pick up from the airport will be 400 baht to cover fuel costs. We are also available to offer taxi services to and from these places for non guests, please contact us for details.


We are fortunate to have a train station in Chaiya. Most of the Trains from Bangkok travelling on the Southern line stop in Chaiya. Information about the Thai train service can be found here

The train from Bangkok usually travels through the night and second class provides a sleeping car with beds.


Suratthani Airport is located about 30 km from Chaiya. Thai Airways, Nok Air and Air Asia all fly from Bangkok to Suratthani and Air Asia offers flights from Suratthani to Kuala Lumphur. 


A minivan service runs from Suratthani city to Chaiya. The minivan stop in Suratthani is located in the Talad Kaset Song Bus terminal, and the Chaiya minivans are easy to identify. They are white with a yellow stripe along the bottom. A single ticket to Chaiya is 60 baht and the journey takes about an hour. The minivan will drop you at the Chaiya bus station (next to the market).


Chaiya and Pradit Homestay are very easy to find. We are right off the ASEAN Super highway A.K.A. Highway 41. This highway runs from Bangkok all the way down to the Malaysian border. Chaiya is in Suratthani Province and is clearly signposted. Please refer to the map below or email us for directions.
